This NEET physics formula sheet groups the formulas that come up again and again in the medical entrance exam, from the simple pendulum period to the photoelectric equation. NEET physics is built on the NCERT Class 11 and Class 12 books, so every formula here is one you have already met in school; what changes is the speed and the twist in the question.
If you want a physics formula sheet for NEET as a PDF, including the Class 11 part, print this page from your browser and save it as a PDF. This is an independent revision summary and not material from the exam conducting body. For the full chapter lists, see the Class 11 formulas in chapter order and the Class 12 physics sheet; every other course sheet is on the formula sheets hub.

Example 1: a pendulum on another planet
A pendulum of length 0.80 m is taken to a planet where g is 2.45 m/s². Find its period there and on Earth.
On Earth: .
On the planet, g is a quarter of 9.8, so . Answer: 1.8 s on Earth and 3.6 s on the planet, the doubling the ratio trick predicts.
Electrostatics, current and magnetism

|---|---|---|---|
| field just outside a charged conductor | N/C | Surface charge density page | |
| plate capacitor with a slab filling the gap | F | Capacitance page | |

Example 2: a ratio question on resistance
Two wires are made of the same metal. Wire A is half as long as wire B but has twice its radius. Find the ratio of their resistances.
Since , .
Answer: R_A : R_B = 1 : 8. No numbers for ρ were needed, which is typical of NEET.

Semiconductor questions mostly test logic gate truth tables and diode behaviour rather than formulas, so practise those alongside this table.
How to use a physics formula sheet for NEET in the last weeks
- Read one unit a day aloud. Say what each symbol means and its unit.
- Learn proportionalities. Many questions only need T ∝ √l, R ∝ L/r² or F ∝ 1/r².
- Check options by dimensions. A wrong option often has the wrong dimensions, which rules it out in seconds.
- Keep NCERT diagrams in mind. Graphs of photocurrent, SHM energy and stress against strain are frequent.
Common traps in NEET physics
- Degrees and radians. Angular formulas need radians.
- Kelvin. Thermodynamics and kinetic theory need absolute temperature.
- Mirror against lens magnification. m = −v/u for mirrors, m = v/u for lenses.
- Series and parallel capacitors. They combine the opposite way to resistors.
Students also writing JEE Main can compare with the JEE Main physics formula sheet, which goes deeper into rotation and calculus.
Frequently asked questions
Is there an official NEET physics formula sheet?
NEET does not hand out a formula sheet in the exam hall, so you must carry the formulas in your head. Always check the current information bulletin for exam rules.
Can I get this neet physics formula sheet as a PDF?
Yes. Print it from the browser menu and pick the PDF printer option.
Which physics chapters matter most for NEET?
Mechanics, current electricity, electrostatics, optics and modern physics usually carry many questions, but the paper covers the whole Class 11 and 12 syllabus.
Are NCERT formulas enough for NEET physics?
Yes for the formulas themselves, since NEET is based on NCERT. You still need practice in applying them quickly and combining them.
How should I memorise physics formulas for NEET?
Group them by idea, learn the derivation of the key ones, and test yourself on ratios and units. Regular short revision works better than one long session.
